Job Description
As a Swim Instructor at {camp_name} Camp, you will lead swimming programs and offer personalized individual and group lessons for children of all ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students at with a strong love for swimming, exceptional communication abilities, and a genuine talent for motivating young swimmers to develop a love and respect for the water. We are currently seeking a dedicated and self-driven Swim Instructor to join our team and support our campers in Miami, FL.
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all swimmers
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, giving feedback and guidance as necessary
Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, especially in an educational or instructional setting
• Proficient in various swim strokes and techniques
• Strong knowledge of water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and innovative teaching skills
• Effective behavior management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
• Prior experience in childcare or sports coaching is a plus, showcasing an understanding of working with children in a structured environment
• Passion for swimming and working with children
